Community

Learning together and carrying social innovation forward

The ignato Community brings together organisations from across Europe that are working on similar social challenges. It offers a space for exchange, shared learning and the further development of solutions. Through dialogue with other organisations, new perspectives emerge, along with concrete approaches for implementation and long-term partnerships that create impact beyond individual projects.

Exchange that enables impact

Peer Learning Circle

In the Peer Learning Circle, organisations come together that are working on similar challenges or have already gained experience in adopting and scaling social innovations. Regular exchange creates space to learn from one another, discuss questions openly and share insights from different contexts.

Thematic cooperation formats

In addition to open exchange, we create targeted formats for specific topics and challenges. For shared challenges, social innovations proven around the world are identified and a portfolio of solutions is developed. Organisations are supported in implementing suitable approaches from this portfolio. This enables them to work together on the questions they are facing and benefit from the experience of others. This strengthens the collective learning curve and helps organisations adopt viable solutions more quickly.

European network

The community opens access to a European network of organisations, experts, partners and decision-makers. This creates new connections across national borders and a better understanding of which solutions have already been successfully tested in other contexts. This network is an important foundation for exchange, cooperation and dissemination.

Collaborative development

The community is not only a space for exchange, but also for thinking ahead and developing further together. Here, new approaches can emerge, existing solutions can be jointly refined, and ideas for transfer and scaling can be developed. In this way, knowledge transfer becomes a shared development process.

Case Studies

Successful solutions in practice

Across Europe, innovative approaches are emerging to address social challenges. ignato works with organisations to identify these solutions and transfer them to new contexts. Our case studies show how successful projects can be adapted and implemented — and how local initiatives can become models that create impact in other places, too.

Caritas Orihuela-Alicante

Mobile support for people experiencing homelessness
In Orihuela-Alicante, Spain, ignato supports Caritas in improving the quality of life of people experiencing homelessness. To this end, mobile support services such as a shower bus and a laundry bus are being adapted from international models for a local pilot project. These low-threshold hygiene services strengthen dignity and trust, while making it easier to access further social, health and housing services.

Caritas Alba Iulia

Community-based models for inclusion
In Alba Iulia, Romania, ignato supports Caritas in developing new approaches to promote the inclusion of the Roma community, especially women and children. Successful models from Romania and Hungary are adapted to local conditions and prepared for pilot projects. The aim is to overcome social exclusion in the long term through empowering community-based approaches.
