Implementing proven social innovations successfully

Many social organisations face complex challenges and are looking for new solutions. At the same time, many successful approaches already exist, but are often only used locally. ignato supports organisations in identifying proven social innovations, adapting them to their own context and implementing them successfully. Our structured method guides organisations step by step from analysing a challenge and selecting suitable solutions through to implementation and scaling. This creates a clear and reliable path from idea to impactful innovation.

Supporting the implementation of social innovations

We support organisations in bringing innovative approaches into practice in a structured way. Together, we analyse challenges, define target visions and develop a clear implementation strategy. In doing so, we connect local needs with proven solution approaches from our global network.

Transferring proven solutions

Many of the most effective social innovations emerge locally. ignato helps identify these approaches and make them usable in new contexts. Using our methodology, we analyse existing innovations, develop cooperation models and replication strategies, and support organisations in introducing the solution.

Developing and testing pilot projects

Before an innovation is introduced on a larger scale, we work together to develop a pilot project. This serves to test the solution in the local context, gain important insights and further optimise implementation. In this way, a solid foundation is created for scaling the innovation further.

Preparing scaling strategically

Once a solution has proven successful, we support organisations in increasing its impact. We develop scaling strategies, create structures for spreading the innovation and prepare successful models for implementation in other organisations or regions.

We support organisations not only with a structured method, but as equal partners — from the first idea to successful implementation in practice.

Case Studies

Successful solutions in practice

Across Europe, innovative approaches are emerging to address social challenges. ignato works with organisations to identify these solutions and transfer them to new contexts. Our case studies show how successful projects can be adapted and implemented — and how local initiatives can become models that create impact in other places, too.

Caritas Orihuela-Alicante

Mobile support for people experiencing homelessness
In Orihuela-Alicante, Spain, ignato supports Caritas in improving the quality of life of people experiencing homelessness. To this end, mobile support services such as a shower bus and a laundry bus are being adapted from international models for a local pilot project. These low-threshold hygiene services strengthen dignity and trust, while making it easier to access further social, health and housing services.

Caritas Alba Iulia

Community-based models for inclusion
In Alba Iulia, Romania, ignato supports Caritas in developing new approaches to promote the inclusion of the Roma community, especially women and children. Successful models from Romania and Hungary are adapted to local conditions and prepared for pilot projects. The aim is to overcome social exclusion in the long term through empowering community-based approaches.

Fundraising innovations with a focus on corporate partnerships
